What an exciting day to be at here in downtown San Francisco. I now can checked one of my checklist, that is experiencing the MLB World Series. No one saw it coming, sports commentator didn’t believe in SF Giants. Statistically, SF Giants are the weaker team. But, they work as a team and there is no “I” in team! Everyone in the team had their moment at the world series. My opinion, they all deserved a MVP!
I had the honor of capturing SF Giants parade side by side with Michael Jeong. It is and by far, the best parade I’ve ever experienced. Fans shouting, SF Giants, can be felt as you’re being surrounded full of huge loud speaker, definitely louder than the inside of AT&T Park. Fans respectfully clap and cheered as Willie Mays passes through. The cheer changed as the highlight player, Edgar Renteria MVP passes through and the shouting changed, MVP, MVP …
Andres Torres captured my camera. When he took off his sunglasses, his eyes were in tears. Walking throughout the whole parade, Torres walked briskly thanking every fans. The humbleness from him made me respect him alot more than just a player. He is by far my favorite player.
Today 11/03/2010, is definitely a Giants day. Everyone took a day off from work. I rode in the bus on the way back, I see parents took a day off and took their kids to see the Giants. There was barely anyone at school today, at least that’s what I’ve heard. Heck, I would take a sick call or vacation.
Thank you Giants!

What beautiful pix! It’s wonderful to see people coming together out of happiness and common interest…there’s just entirely too much negativity these days.
Thank you for posting!
Really nice pictures!! I wish my Rangers could have won, both teams were so deserving. I am still proud of the Rangers for knocking off the Yankees. Maybe next year we will have a parade like that here in Dallas. Congrats and thanks for sharing the pics!

GREAT photos!! What an amazing event. My sister in law works on Montgomery and she got some nice shots too from an upper level window. Very happy for us Bay Area peeps!
Congrats on Freshly Pressed!
Go Yankees!! Oops, wrong blog… I knew I should have taken that left at El Segundo…
Well anyway, congratz Giants (since they were an old NY team… hehehe)
Those pics are amazing!! It sucks my Yankees didn’t win, but it was about time that someone who did not have a championship, win one.

I enjoyed the article and the pictures are a work of art with such vivid clarity. But I feel sorry because no matter how well you are able to capture those moments, they never last forever. Like the fact of life…. We can’t freeze time…….. and as a yankees ‘ fan last year seem so long ago. For you, spring training is around the corner. So enjoy the feeling while it last because nothing last forever.
Loved all your pics. Congrats SF!!
Great pictures, great post!

Even though I was one of the bandwagon fans that got caught up in the storm, it was one of those once-in-a-lifetime things to watch as my friend told me the SF Giants haven’t won a World Series in a REALLY LONG TIME. And seeing them win 2010 and the energy that just erupted in San Francisco, it was just awesome to witness. Very nice photos!
very cool!!
Awesome photos! Must of been so fun to be downtown!
These photos are beautiful! Thanks for sharing them.
What great pictures of an exciting day! Here in Red Sox land we understand! Congratulations, and we love your beautiful, multicultural city!
So that’s what I missed when all the cell phone arms went up to snap their dinky shots–I saw some faces through their elbows, but this fills in the gaps nicely. I can’t wait to show this to my boys–they’ll be thrilled. Much better pics than the Chronicle! Thanks.
Click here if you want to eat Texas Toas, a spicy strata, to to celebrate–I adapted this recipe, and we all loved eating it after the parade. http://happymommysdancingkitchen.wordpress.com/2010/11/03/texas-toast-a-giants-feast/
These are excellent pictures. Thank you.
Congrats to the Giants and their fans for coming together as a team,
and finally winning the World Series after over fifty years of almosts.
When I think of some of the great Hall of Fame players that never
got a chance to sip champagne as a Giant: Marichal, McCovey, Cepada
and more recently Kemp and Bonds, what can I say?
When you have dominant pitching made up of fearless young arms,
and castoffs playing the game fearlessly, well it all adds up to a championship
team.
The only thing left now is to see if these Giants can put together a run
to rival that of the Niners of the 80′s and 90′s.
Amazing!!!!
Thank you Randy, so wanted to be there but this is the next best! Let’s go Giants! And they did!

Hey, great pix! I was having some exposure problem since it was pretty darn shady at 3rd and Market. And despite the pushing and jostling by the surrounding humans, I got some decent pix.
